FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE:

AAAW GROUP ANNOUNCES PURCHASE OF GLENROCK STATION
COMPANY CONTINUES INTEGRATION OF EXCLUSIVE SUPPLY LINES TO CHINA

SYDNEY, AUSTRALIA: August 14, 2015 — Australian agribusiness AAAW Group is pleased to announce that its purchase of Glenrock Station in NSW’s Hunter Valley was approved by the Foreign Investment Review Board this week. The investment was seen as a strong endorsement of the Chinese-based parent company, Dashang Group’s successful global business model and AAAW Group’s commitment to play a major role in the advancement of the Australian beef industry and national economy.

Operating under the company’s newly-formed Hunter Beef portfolio which includes Clear Hills near Captains Flat in southern NSW, the running of the historic property will be managed by the Glenrock’s current farm team.

“Our investment in Glenrock not only complements our cattle operation and targeted production goals but also represents an important move in securing a sustainable supply chain from Australia to China where food security and provenance drives the demand for quality Australian beef,” says Michael Wang, Managing Director of AAAW Group.

By bringing Glenrock’s capabilities into its measured framework, AAAW Group will seek to reach a production target between 10,000-15,000 head of premium Angus cattle and build upon its immense sales distribution network in conjunction with Dashang Group.

The largest retailer in northeast China with a market reach that includes 300 stores in 150 cities across the country, AAAW Group’s multi-divisional sales channels are also underscored by the company’s full control of its supply lines.

“Our competitive advantage is Dashang’s paddock-to-plate sales distribution network, quality assurance and immense organisational resources, which no other Australian or Chinese corporation can match,” adds Mr Wang.

An immediate priority for the company is to become the No.1 importer of Australian beef into China. Along with exporting quality boxed Angus and Wagyu beef, the company plans to export live Angus cattle from Australia to the Chinese port city of Dalian where Dashang is developing an Exporter Supply Chain Assurance System (ESCAS) compliant state-of-the-art feedlot.
